Southlake was settled in 1840 but not incorporated until 1956. As of 2022, Southlake has just shy of 35,000 residences and over 2000 businesses to support those residents. Southlake has an amazing town square full of government offices, amazing dining, and luxury shopping experiences. Southlake is an extremely affluent city that has well known parks, trails, and entertainment for the whole family such as the Bicentennial Park and the Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve. Southlake is considered to be one of the safest places to live in the country. Southlake is located 10 – 15 minutes (depending on traffic) north of the Dallas airport and is part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Located in the Northeast portion of Tarrant County. The median home price in Southlake was about $1.2 Million in 2022 and offers a variety of types to choose from in a home.
Southlake is known for its exceptional public school system and won state championships in many sports with the Carrol ISD Dragons . The Carrol ISD school system is large with about 9000 students yet still maintains an exceptionally high standard of academic excellence. Southlake has a highly sought-after community known as Timarron that sits on the Timarron golf course and is part of the Timarron Country Club. This is an upscale private country club that was named one of the best in DFW.
